Nicole Stelzner is the Interim Co-Program Manager of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Department within the Accessibility Resource Center and she is also a National Certified Interpreter for the Deaf.  Ms. Stelzner graduated from the Interpreter Training Program at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in 2003 where she also obtained a degree in Exceptional Education.  Nicole worked in multiple settings before returning to UWM in 2007 to join the Accessibility Resource Center: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program as a full time staff interpreter, C-Print captionist, and Cued Speech Transliterator.  In 2014 she became the Interim Co-Program Manager of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Department where she works side-by-side with Amy Hogle.

Nicole has a strong belief in community service and involvement, so she spends a lot of her time giving back to the community any way she can.  She continues to work as a Video Relay Service Interpreter and maintain her National Certification by attending various conferences and workshops.

In her free time, she loves to do a variety of things.  Ms. Stelzner loves to travel, but when she is not traveling, she likes to spend time outdoors, either (but not limited to) hiking, camping, swimming, boating or working out.  She also appreciate just curling up with a blanket and a good book, hanging out with friends and family, enjoying a good meal or catching a movie.
