Karen Huenink received her bachelor’s degree through the Interpreter Training Program and American Sign Language Studies here at UWM. Upon graduation Karen interpreted in the K-12 setting before becoming a Sign Language Interpreter for the Accessibility Resource Center in the fall of 2010. Shortly after joining the ARC Karen pursued additional training to become a C-Print Captionist. Karen also works for Professional Interpreting Enterprise (PIE) and Sorenson VRS.
In her spare time you can find her with family and friends while trying to keep up with her three young children. She also enjoys cooking, being outdoors, running, and reading.
